SeafariOne of the most popular family outings is to take a Seafari eco-nature Cruise on Kenmare Bay.  It’s a true treat for wildlife enthusiasts of all ages.  Seafari has been in operation for almost 20 years and at the helm is marine biologist Captain Ray Ross.  His boat is a familiar sight on Kenmare Bay.  Indeed, if you stay in the Stone Cottage you will undoubtedly spot it sailing past during your stay!

The return cruise lasts 2 -3 hours,  making its way to the mouth of Kenmare Bay – between the Beara & the Iveragh Peninsulas.  Captain Ross explains the wildlife as  you go along, happy to answer any questions you or your children may have.  Included with your ticket is tea, coffee, cookies, juices, sweets, lollipops, “tot of Rum”, use of binoculars, live traditional music and song and snug blankets should it be a cold day.  Seafari crusies welcome people “from age 3 to 93″.

Bookings: can be made on +353 (0)64 664 2089, or via the Seafari website . In summer months, it’s best to book ahead.

Of note is that Seafari is also available for charters should you wish to celebrate a special occasion in style!
